Rest day in Akaroa

We all had the best night sleep, two new crew, Cam and Callum and today is officially a rest day ... well ... rest after all our jobs have been done.

Took on diesel and water from the jetty.

Bruce "Will my pension cover this?"

Cam and Callum did a sterling job of taking Mimu off the jetty and back onto anchor as we headed off to JP's bach for laundry, lunch and a bit of sightseeing.

Had a great reunion with JP

We were lucky enough to have the most picture perfect day in and around Akaroa.  Thanks JP,  we had the best time.

Laundry day on Mimu.

Heading down the east coast of the South Island, tomorrow we have another overnighter to Port Chalmers.

Weather fine for tomorrow, light winds.

Following in the footsteps of Captain Cook, his chart is dated 1772. Pretty impressive navigating!!

Vertically challenged Commodore needs to pop on her high heels to reach into the bottom of the fridge!

Wishlist for the next boat - walk in pantry and a full sized stand up fridge!

Raewyn cooking up a storm ready for our next adventure.
